The tradition began by Mother Bernard
Gosselin has entered its 95th year. Today a lay
administration and staff continue the works of the sisters.
Each year we are in need of raising between $100,000 and
$150,000 to provide families tuition assistance in grades
Kindergarten through Twelfth. The cost of educating students
has increased dramatically over the past five decades.
With an annual increase in the cost of operations and an entire lay faculty and
administration, the annual cost of operating the school has
greatly surpassed the rate of tuition. The current tuition
stands at $4,000 for the elementary and $6,000 for the high
school, much higher today than when we were entirely staffed
with religious. Today’s faculty salaries range from $31,200.00
to $49,500.00 taking into account the highest salary is based
upon years of services.
We are looking for 100 individuals or families to gift $1000
or more annually for
the next three years. Your membership in the “Top 100 Club”
club will provide the assurance that local children will
have the opportunity to attend St. Bernard’s regardless of
income.
A tax-deductible gift in the amount of $1,000 restricted for
tuition assistance can be spread over a ten-month pledge,
two payments or one payment. You can make your pledge by
check, cash or credit card.
Remember the opportunities you or your child had at St.
Bernard’s, or your experience at a Catholic school and help
make these opportunities available to our students by making
a restricted gift. Should you have any questions please
contact me at 707-443-2735.
