Born and raised in Sacramento, Mr. Zanze
moved to Humboldt County upon graduating from Christian Brothers High School in
1997. A graduate of Humboldt State University, Mr. Zanze also attended College
of the Redwoods where he played basketball and was honored with the “Mr. Hustle”
award following the 2001-2002 season. Mr. Zanze will be teaching elementary
Spanish, a subject he fell in love with in 7th grade at St. Mary’s in
Sacramento. In addition to learning Spanish in school, Mr. Zanze has traveled to
Mexico three times including an immersion where he lived with a family and was
able to experience the culture. Other duties at St. Bernard’s include 7th and
8th grade boy’s basketball coach as well as fill in substitute. This is Mr.
Zanze’s first year as a faculty member at St. Bernard’s where he looks forward
to excitement in the classroom and on the court.
