Mrs.
Kramer assisted in planning and implementing the St. Bernard’s Pre-School
program and curriculum, in accordance with the school philosophy, where she has
been teaching since 1997. Prior to that, she had worked three years at Little
People’s Pre-School as a teacher’s aide. She has also worked in a K-1 classroom
as South Bay Elementary School “one on one” with a severely brain-injured child,
integrating him into the class. In addition, she worked as an instructional
aide/special education aide for the Rhonerville School District. Karla loves
working with small children and their parents because she feels that they are
partners, working with the same goals in mind, as they prepare the children for
kindergarten, to grow intellectually, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
She make it an everyday goal to have “one on one” interaction with every student
in her class because even a brief comment sends a message that she values the
students and their presence. She believes that, if you practice this
consistently, you will see more engagement, and experience better relationships,
with your students. The children are our future.
