Cheryl Bucko, Classified Staff - Kindergarten

In 1984 Mrs Bucko was asked by thr Principal and Pastor of Saint Bernard’s to join Saint Bernard’s as a teaching assistant in the Kindergarten program. Shortly after her assignment, she was asked to also assist in the first and second grade with the reading program. Currently she assists in Kindergaraten ( her home base) and does first grade reading. Over the years Mrs Bucko has chaired many events including fashion shows, scholarship fundraisers, safe and sober, raising money for the P.E. program,and raising money for both the High School and the Elementary School. She has served on The Mothers Guild Committee and the Parent Teachers Association for St. Bernards Schools, Eureka High School and Winship Jr High.She was recognized for outstanding service to schools and for her positive attitude. Cheryl was nominated this year for the Wells Fargo Legacy Award.. Mrs Bucko began her 23rd year at Saint Bernards this fall and enjoys it as much today as she did when she was first asked to join the team. She is now seeing the children of students ( now young adults) that were in Kindergarten years ago. Mrs Bucko keeps in contact with all the teachers that she has assisted over the years. Both her son Troy and daughter Kindra attended Saint Bernards Schools. Her son graduated with the class of 1990. Mrs Bucko is proud to be a part of the Saint Bernards Catholic Family and is committed to to the values of Catholic Education. GO KNIGHTS!! GO CRUSADERS!!!
