St. Bernard’s is an Independent Roman
Catholic institution. Established in 1912 by Mother Bernard
Gosselin of the Sisters of St. Joseph, St. Bernard’s
continues the mission of Catholic education on the Northern
Coast of California. Through our mission and our loyalty to the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church, St. Bernard’s seeks to
employ faculty, coaches and staff with the qualifications to
meet the spiritual, physical and academic standards set forth by
the Board of Directors and Administration.
Unlike most schools faculty and staff are held to a level of
excellence expected at a Catholic school. Each employee is
required to sign an “Oath of Loyalty” to the Magisterium as part
of their employment contract. St. Bernard’s does not
discriminate against an applicant because of sex, nationality or
age.
Only full-time faculty and staff are eligible for full medical,
dental and vision benefits. An applicant can contact the Office
of Finance to request an application, or download an
application online.
